Maria Muehombo is a multi‑disciplinary artist and independent researcher based in Brussels, with roots from Zambia and Angola. Mostly operating under the name M I M I, her process‑driven practice blends music composition, herbalism, ritualistic sound healing and DJing, navigating tension and release. Purposefully invoking the mysterious and uncanny, her compositions and sets evoke an atmosphere of impending doom while offering pathways toward resilience. Working at the intersections of holistic care through herbalism, sound art, biomimicry, & self thought anthropological protocols, she seeks to develop tools, rituals and practices that weave these fields together into collective and personal practices of care, connection and transformation.
